Create a custom XML configuration
A custom XML configuration enables you to tailor the translated strings export to your needs.
Tip
Using custom XML, you can export strings with their Rigi IDs and use them as variables in DITA authoring tools.
Important
The settings and actions described below are only available to Rigi subscribers. For details, see the User roles section.
In the top right-hand corner of the display, select
(system menu) > Server Settings .In the right-hand menu, select Context > Application profile.

Click the Add configuration button. The Create custom XML configuration popup is displayed.

Enter a name for the custom configuration.
In the Header section, use the variables displayed on the right to specify which text to include in the generated document's header.

In the Root section, use the gray variables on the right to specify the root attributes.
The Root element is the element at the top of the document.
The Root element includes String elements (blue variable).

In the String elements section, specify how each string in the project is to be exported. You can export both the source and target strings.

(Optional) Add a language code custom mapping.
Use the toggle to activate the text field.

Enter the language code and its replacement, separated with a space. When the document is generated, the translationLang variable will be replaced by the specified substitute value.
Use the toggles below to specify whether you want to:

Include read-only strings. If you enable this feature, read-only (non-translatable) strings will also be included in a generated XML file.
Export file per file-id. A project workspace can contain multiple source files. If this option is selected, an XML file is exported for each file ID.
Click the Create button.
You can drag the variables displayed on the right into the fields on the left and drop them there.
Your custom configuration is now added to the export formats list.
