Creating a new connection to an XTM Cloud instance, from XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale)
This topic is intended for Administrators who configure XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) and Project Managers who use it to create translation projects.
When you send HubSpot content (landing pages, site pages or email templates) to XTM Cloud, for translation, you might decide to do so in a new connection to an XTM Cloud instance, rather than using an existing connection.
Warning
The connection described in this topic is between XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) and XTM Cloud. It is different from the connection between your organization’s HubSpot CMS instance and XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale), which uses a HubSpot Private App, which you configure in HubSpot.
You only need to create a new connection to an XTM Cloud instance if none of the existing connections are suitable.
You can only create a new connection to an XTM Cloud instance if you have the necessary permissions.
Typically, for example, an LSP will not be given permission to create new connections to a client's XTM Cloud instance. Instead, the client's Administrators will create these new connections when they are required, and inform the relevant LSPs so that they can use them to send HubSpot content (landing pages, site pages or email templates) to XTM Cloud, for translation.
You can create a new connection to an XTM Cloud instance during project creation.
The project creation process (described in the topics listed below), differs according to the content type that you select for translation, as described in these two topics:
In the Connect XTM screen, select the + New Connection button at the top of the connections list. You see the Processor Setup Information screen.
In the XTM Instance URL field, enter the URL for the XTM Cloud instance to which you want to create a new connection, from XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale).
In the top right-hand corner of the screen, select the Next button. You see the Authentication screen. This contains fields (detailed in the next step) in which you enter the authentication details for the XTM Cloud instance to which your HubSpot instance is to connect, via XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale).
In the Company Name, XTM User ID and Password fields, enter the required values for your organization. If you do not have them, request them from your system administrator.
To finish creating the new connection, in the top right-hand corner of the screen, select the Next button. You see the Project Creation screen.
