XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) 1.0

Authentications: connecting your HubSpot instance to the XTM Connect (Locale) platform

XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) enables HubSpot content created from emails, landing pages or web pages to be translated in XTM Cloud.

These terms are used for the relationships involved in the description above:

  • Data source: the HubSpot instance.

  • Content type: a specific set of kind of content in the data source. An organization can configure many content types, if required.

  • Authentication: a connection which is used to integrate a HubSpot content type with XTM Cloud (the processor).

  • Processor: system that receives content from the data source (HubSpot), via an XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) authentication and processes it in translation projects. In this documentation, the processor is always XTM Cloud.

This topic describes how to create new authentications. For more detailed information about authentications, see Securing connections to XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale).

To create a new authentication:
  1. Log in to XTM Connect (Locale). You see the Activity screen.

  2. Select the Authentications button in the menu on the left of the screen side. Existing authentications are listed in the Authentications screen.

  3. To create a new authentication, select the New Authentications + button in the top right-hand corner of the screen. You see the What do you want to connect? screen.

  4. To connect a particular data source for translation, select the relevant HubSpot connector from the list of available connectors. You see the relevant connector screen.

  5. In the Authentication type section, select one of the radio buttons to specify the authentication type for the authentication you are creating: Private or Shared. These authentication types are described in Securing connections to XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale). The details you are then prompted to enter might differ according to which XTM Connect (Locale) connector you selected in the previous step.

  6. In the top right-hand corner of the screen, select the Next button. You see the Authentication section.

  7. In the Authentication section, edit the access token for your HubSpot Private App in the Private App Key field.

    Note

Super admin access might be required in HubSpot to access this Private App information. If you do not have this access or information, contact your HubSpot system administrator or HubSpot Account Manager for help.

  8. To confirm the access token, select the Next button. The Authentication screen is displayed.

  9. In the Authentication name field, enter a unique name that will be used to identify this specific HubSpot instance in the future, so that it can be identified and added to future workflows quickly.

  10. To confirm the authentication name you have entered, select the Next button. The new authentication you have configured is created. You return to the Authentications screen

Result: when Project Managers use XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) to create translation projects for HubSpot content, they can select the new authentication to specify how HubSpot content is fetched.
