XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) 1.0

Configuration

This section contains the Administrator tasks that must be performed to configure XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) so that it can interoperate with HubSpot and XTM Cloud.

Administrators can perform these tasks:
  • Create a HubSpot Private App to enable XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale) to physically access your organization’s HubSpot CMS instance. This only needs to be done once, for that entire HubSpot CMS instance. In XTM Connect (Locale), a CMS such as HubSpot is called a data source.

  • Create new HubSpot content types. A single HubSpot CMS instance (a data source) can have many content types defined in it: they can be seen as separate areas within the HubSpot instance, each with different data contents. As many content types can be defined as required. The connections to them are know as authentications. For details about authentications, see Securing connections to XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale).)

  • Create new connections to an XTM Cloud instance, for use by LSPs.

    • You only need to create a new connection to an XTM Cloud instance if none of the existing connections are suitable.

    • You can only create a new connection to an XTM Cloud instance if you have the necessary permissions.

Typically, for example, an LSP (agency user) is responsible for managing a client's connections in the XTM Connect (Locale) platform. This includes data source (HubSpot) and processor (XTM Cloud) connections (known as authorizations). Additional processors can only be configured by the agency account, for use with authentications (connections) that have been shared. (For details about shared authentications, see Securing connections to XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale).)

  • Create new XTM Cloud translation projects, for use by LSPs. As an LSP (agency user) is responsible for and manages the shared authentications (connections) that a client can access, an agency user can create as many private authentications as they like, according to which connectors are available in their XTM Connect (Locale) instance. (For details about private authentications, see Securing connections to XTM Connect – HubSpot (Locale).)

An agency user can actually create as many projects and workflows as they like, in their instance, but they will only ever have access to the processor(s) shared with them by the agency in which they have been created.
