XTM Connect – Oracle Content Management 1.0/Translation Requester Guide

Displaying notifications

If there is a system notification about a project, this is shown by a bell icon with a red dot on it, next to the Notifications at the top of the screen, on the right.

To display notifications:
  1. Select the Notifications button at the top of the screen, on the right.

The red dot and brackets containing the number of notifications disappear, and XTM Connect – Oracle Content Management displays a popup containing a list of notifications with "toast" feedback messages. You will see new notifications marked in bold, and once you click on a toast message, or expand its down arrow icon, it makes the message a read one (i.e. it is not treated as new anymore).

  2. Select a notification message and you can do the following:

    • see how many unread notifications there are.

XTM Connect – Oracle Content Management displays a number to the right of the Notifications button at the top of the screen. This tells you how many unread notifications there are.

    • see new notifications marked in bold, and the read ones in regular font.

    • mark it as read by clicking on it in the list or expanding the down arrow icon on the right of the selected notification.

      Note

When you select a notification from the list, and read it, it is marked as read and the "unread notifications" number is reduced by one.

    • display more of a notification text in the list by selecting the down arrow icon on the right of the selected notification.

    • move back to the start of the notification text by selecting the up arrow icon on the right of the selected notification.

    • remove the notification from the notifications list by selecting the Clear icon which XTM Connect – Oracle Content Management displays at the bottom right of the notification text when you click on the notification.

    • close the popup by clicking on the bell icon again or by clicking outside the popup.
