Manual project creation from the bucket context menu
This type of manual project creation is available for all types of configuration buckets:
with the Manually option selected for the Create project parameter.
with the Automatically option selected for the Create project parameter.
with the Continuous project checkbox selected and then:
with the Manually option selected for the Create project parameter.
with the Automatically option selected for the Create project parameter.
Manual project creation gives you a great deal of flexibility in deciding the exact moment at which Git repository synchronization is performed and a project is created. However, you cannot select files for translation manually, as is the case for manual project creation based on selected source files. XTM Connect – Git creates a project containing all files that match the relevant bucket's settings and have been added or updated since the last Git repository synchronization. In the case of continuous projects, this procedure results in updating the existing continuous project with new content, not creating a new project.
Log in to your XTM Cloud instance.
Note
When using XTM Cloud for the first time, you need to activate XTM Cloud on your computer.
In the XTM Connect tab screen, select the Buckets tab.
If you have more XTM Connect products configured on your XTM Cloud instance, in the Buckets tab screen, select Git.
Select the relevant Git configuration bucket.
To the left of the selected configuration bucket, select the context menu icon
.
From the dropdown, select
Actions > Create a project.
In your XTM Cloud instance, a new task is created automatically.
To view the task, from the top navigation bar, select XTM Connect and then the Tasks tab. If necessary, refresh the view. In the Tasks tab screen, the value Project created is displayed in the Status column.
After the new task has been created, a new project is also created in your XTM Cloud instance automatically.
To view the project, from the top navigation bar, select Projects and then select the relevant project. If necessary, refresh the view.
Note
For details of how to manage and edit the project, go to the XTM Cloud documentation page, select the relevant version of XTM Cloud instance and then search for the Managing projects section.
