XTM Connect – Git 13.8

How XTM Connect – Git works

Once XTM Connect – Git is configured to connect with a Git repository, it synchronizes data with it at a specified time interval. At the time of synchronization, XTM Connect – Git recognizes files that have been updated or added to the repository since the last synchronization and creates copies of their content as translation tasks. These tasks are then used to create a translation project in XTM Cloud, using a predefined template.

When a translation is finished, XTM Cloud sends the translated files back to XTM Connect – Git. It returns them to the selected repository, and the translation cycle is finished until the next Git repository update.

Note

If nothing is changed in the translated file, compared to the source file, that target file will not be returned to the Git repository. This is the case, for example, when the file only contains non-translatable segments.
