Buckets tab
A bucket is an XTM Connect – Git configuration container. It defines which new or updated files are taken for translation, from the repository, and when. It also defines when translated files are going to be returned, and where to.
To start using XTM Connect – Git, you need to create at least one bucket.

Editing an existing configuration bucket.
The table in the Buckets tab screen displays the following information about existing configuration buckets:
Bucket name – The unique name of the configuration bucket. Sortable in ascending or descending order.
File formats – File extensions used for project creation in the relevant configuration bucket.
Synchronization – Information whether synchronization with the relevant repository should happen:
Manually or
Automatically.
Project last created – Date and time that the project has last been created based on the relevant configuration bucket.
Customer – Customer for whom the configuration bucket has been created. Sortable in ascending or descending order.
Project template – Project template selected for the relevant configuration bucket. Sortable in ascending or descending order.
Source language – Source language for all files that need to be translated from the selected repository. Sortable in ascending or descending order.
Target languages – Target languages for all files that need to be translated from the selected repository.
Repository – Repository for which the relevant configuration bucket has been created.
Added by – ID of the XTM Cloud user who created the relevant configuration bucket. Sortable in ascending or descending order.
Added at – Date and time that the configuration bucket was last created. Sortable in ascending or descending order.
Status – Informs whether configuration bucket is:
Active.
Deactivated – Deactivated projects are displayed in italic and are grayed out.
Select the context menu icon to the left of the relevant configuration bucket, to display the following options:
General settings – When you select it, this option takes you to the General settings tab for the selected configuration bucket. Here, you can edit the General settings parameters.
Project creation – When you select it, this option takes you to the Project creation tab for the selected configuration bucket. Here, you can edit the Project creation parameters.Actions – When you hover over it, additional options are displayed:
Select files for translation – This option is only displayed if, the Manually option has been selected for the Create project parameter, in the selected bucket.
If you select it, you can create a project based on selected files manually, in XTM Cloud.
Create a project – This option is only displayed if the selected bucket is currently active.
If you select it, you can create a project based on all new or updated files in the Git repository, and the settings from the selected configuration bucket, manually.
Deactivate the bucket – This option is only displayed if the selected bucket is currently active.
If you select it, you deactivate the selected configuration bucket.
Activate the bucket – This option is only displayed if the selected bucket is currently deactivated.
If you select it, you activate the selected configuration bucket.
Delete – Use this option to delete the selected bucket.
