Info page configuration

XTM Portal Administrators can configure the XTM Portal Info page (FAQ page). It can provide additional information about your company or instructions about how to use your XTM Portal instance, beyond the ones on the Intro page (home page). This page includes a collapsible, clickable, integrated Table of Contents (TOC) for organizing larger amounts of information. The TOC uses headers from the 1st level down to the 4th level to create user-friendly navigation for your page.

Procedure. To configure the XTM Portal Info page:

  1. Log in to XTM Portal as an Administrator.

  2. In the menu on the left of the screen, select the cog icon gear_outline_brand_refreshed.svg. The Settings tab screen is displayed.

  3. In the Settings screen, select the INTRO PAGE tab.

  4. In the INTRO PAGE screen, in the Page content area, in the text field, insert the text you want to be displayed on the XTM Portal home page. You can format it using:

    • the Normal style or select between the range of Heading 1 and Heading 6 styles, in the dropdown.

    • Bold Bold font.

    • Italic Italic font.

    • Underline Underline font.

    • Strikethrough Strikethrough font.

    • Code Code snippet.

    • Color Color palette options.

    • Highlight Highlight color palette options.

    • Align left Align text to the left.

    • Align center Center text.

    • Align right Align text to the right.

    • Align justify Justify text.

    • Bulleted list Bulleted list.

    • Numbered list Numbered list.

    • Add a link Add a link to the inserted text: highlight the text and click the Add link icon. Insert the link and select the OK button.

    • Image Insert an image: these files are not hosted in XTM Portal. You need an external server for this purpose. To display an image on the Info page, select the place, in your content, where you want it to be located. Then, click the Insert an image icon. Finally, insert the image URL in the popup and select the OK button.

    • Video Insert a video: these files are not hosted in XTM Portal. You need an external server for this purpose. To display a video on the Info page, select the place, in your content, where you want to it to be located. Then, click the Insert a video icon. Finally, in the popup, insert the video URL (for MP4 or WebM) or embedded video URL (for videos from Google Drive, YouTube, or Vimeo). Users will be able to watch the video inside your content or in full screen.

    • Blockquote Blockquote text.

    • Clear format Clear format: highlight the text and click the Clear format icon.

  5. Select the Save button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Result: your Info page is created. It will be accessible for your XTM Portal users when they select the Info page icon Info page in the left-hand side menu.
