Downloading a project's source files
You can download a project's source files from XTM Portal to your computer's local Downloads folder.
Note
As a user with the XTM Portal Administrator role, you can always download files from all projects created in your instance.
As a user with the XTM Portal Translation requester role, you can always download files for projects that you have created. If an XTM Portal Administrator has enabled the relevant options in your instance, you can also download files for:
projects that have been shared with you. For details, see Configuring the Translation request page.
all projects created for the shared customers that you have access to. For details, see Configuring the project list.
In the menu on the left of the screen, select the project list icon
.
In the Project list screen, find the project whose source files you want to download. You can use filters to search for the relevant project. For details, see Filtering projects.
Select the context menu icon
, which is located on the right-hand side of the screen in the relevant project line.
From the dropdown, select the Download source files option.
Result:
If the source files are available, XTM Portal downloads these files and places them in your computer's local Downloads folder.
If no source files are available for the relevant project, at the bottom of the Project list screen, you see the Files not found or inaccessible message. The possible reasons can be:
No source files have been uploaded for the relevant project. This is possible if the Create project without files for translation toggle switch has been enabled during project creation.
Source files have been uploaded for the relevant project in XTM Portal, but then removed in XTM Cloud.
The relevant files are corrupted.
