Changing or resetting a password
This password reset method is only possible if logging in via a link is NOT available in your XTM Portal instance. If that is the case and you want to change your password or have forgotten it, and need to reset it, follow the procedure below.
Note
If logging in with a link is possible in your XTM Portal instance, use the link to log in. Then, follow the Editing your user details procedure to change your password in your Profile page.
In the XTM Portal Log in to continue screen:
Enter your Email for accessing XTM Portal.
Select the Change password button.
Result: an email will be sent to your email address from XTM Portal, prompting you to reset your password. XTM Portal will display a message telling you that the email has been sent.
In your email Inbox, open the email from XTM Portal.
In the email, select the link to reset your password or copy and paste it into your browser's address bar.
Note
The link is active for one hour and can only be used once. If you generate another link before one hour passes, the earlier link expires automatically.
You see the XTM Portal screen with the CONTINUE button.
Select the CONTINUE button. You will be redirected to your XTM Portal Profile.
In the XTM Portal Profile, enter your new Password.
In the Confirm password field, enter your new password again.
Next, select Save to confirm the password change.
Result: your password is changed.
