Translating in XTM Workbench
When files are imported into XTM Cloud, the text is divided into segments according to the segmentation rules (SRX).
The Working with segments topic describes in detail various actions enabling the most efficient translation process. Thanks to segmentation, Linguists can benefit from an advanced matching mechanism described in the Matches in XTM Workbench topic.
The terminology module ensures that the agreed terms are used consistently. For details, see Terminology in XTM Workbench.
If your XTM Cloud Administrator has connected your instance to one or more translation engines, your Project Manager can enable them in the project to speed up the translation process.
In XTM Workbench, by default, you work in Editing mode, in which you enter plain text in segments. However, if your XTM Cloud Project Manager has enabled the tracked changes feature for the project, you can enable Tracking changes mode to track changes that you make in the target segments. This way, you and other XTM Workbench users can clearly see your changes, discuss them, and then accept or reject them. For details, see Tracked changes feature.
