Project Editor – Beta Workflow Editor

If required, ask XTM Support to grant users with the Limited Project Manager (LPM) role in your XTM Cloud instance access rights to the New Workflow Editor for a project. Look at the options below and decide which access rights your LPMs should have.

The level of the Limited Project Managers' access rights can vary:

  • A Limited Project Manager with the MINIMAL access level:

    • sees a file name.

    • sees a limited workflow status.

    • sees only the basic Manage jobs view.

    • does not see segments, target language, due dates, Linguist assignments, full details about workflow steps, or information related to the AI-driven Intelligent Workflow feature.

    • does not see the context menu for a job.

  • A Limited Project Manager with the STANDARD access level sees everything from the MINIMAL, and additionally:

    • sees the number of segments per file.

    • sees a target language.

    • can use basic filters: target language and job status.

      However, Limited Project Managers with the STANDARD access level still cannot see due dates, Linguist assignments, full details about workflow steps, or information related to the AI-driven Intelligent Workflow feature.

  • A Limited Project Manager with the TRUSTED access level sees everything from the STANDARD and additionally:

    • sees due dates.

    • sees fuller workflow details (workflow step names).

    • sees AI widgets and Intelligent Workflow data.

    • can see a job's context menu in read-only mode.

      However, Limited Project Managers with the TRUSTED access level still cannot see assigned Linguists or available assignments. They also cannot save workflow, start workflow, reanalyze one or multiple jobs, bulk-assign Linguists, or move workflow forwards or backwards.

  • A Limited Project Manager with the TRUSTED_WITH_LINGUISTS access level can see and manage everything the way the standard Project Manager does. It means such an LPM:

    • sees all data, including Linguists and available assignments.

    • can edit workflow (add workflow steps, change their types, move and delete them, or change the transition type between workflow steps).

    • can perform bulk assignment and move workflow.

Additionally, you can specify the Limited Project Managers' access to the:

  • Start workflow button in the Manage jobs view.

  • XTM Workbench. You can specify that LPMs should:

    • have no access to XTM Workbench.

    • only be able to access XTM Workbench in read-only mode.

    • be able to access XTM Workbench in read-only or edit mode, depending on their preference.

    • be able to access XTM Workbench as a Reviewer.
