Leveraged matches

In this section, XTM Cloud Administrators can make settings for 100% leveraged match segments.

To access the Leveraged matches settings, select Configuration > Settings > Translation > TM > Leveraged matches.

To make changes to the Leveraged matches settings, select the relevant option for the required settings and then, select the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

Setting

Description

Only search if there are no ICE matches

By default, if there is an ICE match, XTM Cloud does not search for a 100% leveraged match for the relevant segment. You can change this behavior by clearing the checkbox.

Display leveraged matches

You can decide if and when 100% leveraged matches are to be displayed to Linguists in XTM Workbench:

  • Yes – 100% leveraged matches are always displayed to Linguists.

  • Only if its approval status is higher that the ICE match

  • Only if its XLIFF:doc status is higher than the ICE match – This option is available if the TIPP setting has been enabled (for details, see General system settings).

  • Only if its approval and XLIFF:doc statuses are higher than the ICE match – This option is available if the TIPP setting has been enabled (for details, see General system settings).

  • No – 100% leveraged matches are never displayed to Linguists.

Populate target with match

You can decide when a 100% leveraged match is automatically inserted into the target segment. The options are:

  • Always, fixing inline differences – in this case, all inline tags will be automatically entered at the end of the target segment.

  • Only if inlines are identical (default).

  • Never.

Number of matches to display

You can set a maximum number of 100% leveraged matches which are displayed in XTM Workbench, in the Matches docked panel for a single segment. The options are:

  • 1.

  • 2.

  • 3 (default).

  • 4.

  • 5.

Save context of Leveraged matches in TM when automatically set to Completed

If you select this option, when a 100% leveraged match is automatically set to Completed, it will be saved with context information. The result of this is that in future projects, you should get an increased percentage of ICE matches.

Note

This setting is enabled or disabled for the entire system and so either used or not used for all customers and in all projects.

Change Leveraged matches from Approved TM to Completed

XTM Cloud can automatically set 100% leveraged matches from approved TM to Completed during project analysis without the need to confirm them in XTM Workbench. This setting will only apply for an active segment in an active workflow step, if the target segment (which has been promoted to the 100% leveraged match, while the Linguist was working in XTM Workbench) is populated automatically. If a Linguist manually selects a 100% leveraged match from the Matches docked panel, this setting will not apply.

You can decide if this setting is available at customer and project level and specify the default. To do so, use the checkbox in the Permit column:

  • Selected – This setting is displayed at customer level, in project templates and when creating a project.

    If you also select the checkbox in the Default setting column, the setting will be enabled at customer and project level by default. Project Managers can disable it, if required.

    Additionally, use radio buttons to specify in which workflow steps should these segments be set to done (Completed):

    • All except last step – XTM Workbench sets the status of segments with 100% leveraged matches from approved TM to Completed in all workflow steps except the last one.

    • Only first step – XTM Workbench only sets the status of segments with 100% leveraged matches from approved TM to Completed in the first workflow step.

    • All steps – XTM Workbench sets the status of segments with 100% leveraged matches from approved TM to Completed in all workflow steps.

  • Cleared (default) – This setting is NOT displayed at customer and project level.

Change Leveraged matches from Non-approved TM to Completed

XTM Cloud can automatically set a 100% leveraged matches from not approved TM to done during project analysis without the need to confirm them in XTM Workbench. This setting will only apply for an active segment in an active workflow step, if the target segment (which has been promoted to the 100% leveraged match, while the Linguist was working in XTM Workbench) is populated automatically. If a Linguist manually selects a 100% leveraged match from the Matches docked panel, this setting will not apply.

You can decide if this setting is available at customer and project level and specify the default. To do so, use the checkbox in the Permit column:
