Fuzzy repeats

In this section, XTM Cloud Administrators can make settings for segments that are fuzzy repeats.

To access the Fuzzy repeats settings, select Configuration > Settings > Translation > TM > Fuzzy repeats.

To make changes to the Fuzzy repeats settings, select the relevant option for the required settings and then select the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

Search for Fuzzy repeats, even if specific matches are found

By default, if there is an ICE or a 100% leveraged match, XTM Cloud does not search for a fuzzy repeat.

You can change this behavior by selecting one or both options:

  • ICE.

  • Leveraged.

Display

95-99% fuzzy repeats

For each category of fuzzy repeat, you can specify if it is displayed to the Linguist:

  • Yes – Fuzzy repeats are always displayed to Linguists.

  • No – Fuzzy repeats are never displayed to Linguists.

85-94% fuzzy repeats

75-84% fuzzy repeats

Populate target with

95-99% fuzzy repeats

For each category of fuzzy repeat, you can specify when XTM Cloud should automatically enter it into the target segment:

  • Always, fixing inline differences – in this case, all inline tags will be automatically entered at the end of the target segment.

  • Only if inlines are identical.

  • Never.

85-94% fuzzy repeats

75-84% fuzzy repeats

Number of repeats to display

You can set a maximum number of fuzzy repeats which are displayed in XTM Workbench, in the Matches docked panel for a single segment. The options are:

  • 1.

  • 2.

  • 3 (default).

  • 4.

  • 5.


In this section:
