OpenAI GPT
OpenAI GPT is a paid service that is not covered by your XTM Cloud subscription.
In XTM Cloud, you can connect to OpenAI GPT directly or via Microsoft Azure. For details, see connecting XTM Cloud to your OpenAI GPT MT engine.
To configure the use of OpenAI GPT in your XTM Cloud account, select the relevant settings in the General options section.
Once the OpenAI GPT has been connected to your XTM Cloud instance, Project Managers can enable or disable OpenAI GPT as an MT engine at customer level. They can also select a different connection method and/or connection details for a particular customer.
At project level, Project Managers can add OpenAI GPT MT to a new project while creating it, or add it to an existing one in the Project Editor. Additionally, they can enable or disable it for the relevant language pair. Segments processed by OpenAI GPT MT are counted as MT matches in the project Metrics and Statistics, in the Project Editor. Project Managers can also enable or disable OpenAI GPT MT for the relevant project template(s).
In XTM Workbench, OpenAI GPT MT matches are labeled as OpenAI GPT MT.
Important
If a project is subcontracted, your machine translation (MT) settings are inherited by your subcontractor (LSP) and their Linguists.
Neither LSP Project Managers nor LSP Linguists can change these settings.
